We understand that privacy is important to each participant. It is of the utmost importance to us too.

Each woman taking part in the lifepool Project is given a unique Study Identification code. This code is used to label all paperwork, all samples and all database files containing information about her. Only a very limited number of people have access to the link between this code and the woman’s name and address. All lifepool Project staff are committed to maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality in handling your information.

Questionnaire data is kept in a separate database from the database which logs your name and personal details. Access to these databases is password controlled and limited to data management staff only. All data management staff sign the lifepool Confidentiality Guidelines document, attached here for your information: Confidentiality Guidelines for lifepool October 2010
